PhD in radiation dosimetry in 1989, I have devoted most of my career to radiation physics. In have worked on the use of plane parallel ionization chambers for electron dosimetry and also on the realization of absorbed dose to
water standards both at primary and secondary standards dosimetry laboratories. I have also worked in radiotherapy physics and contributed to the establishment of the first medical physics education programme in Algeria.

Currently, I am the Head of the Dosimetry & Medical Radiation Physics Section at the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna
